- Crankcase Ventilation Lines (Hoses)
This engine care package also includes a multi-point inspection of the vehicle, including tire pressures, fluid levels, safety and convenience features. Besides drivability issues normal repairs and maintenance are a concern. After an oil service and road test is performed, the vehicle is to be cleaned and a gift is supposed to be offered. After the repairs are performed, the vehicle will be reprogrammed; during this reprogramming the Condition Based Service engine oil interval will be reduced from the 15,000-mile base calculation to a 10,000-mile base calculation; additionally an annual oil change indication will now appear in the CID if the vehicle has not received an engine oil change in a one year period. This is to keep sludge forming in the engine that will clog oil passages that supply the valvetronic system. The valvetronic system is what keeps the BMW engine performance and fuel economy performing at its peak.Of course while all this is going on BMW hopes you will check out current models and exchange your current BMW for a new one.
